I remember as a teen and young adult I would read the story of Lot and wonder *how* he could stay in Sodom when if vexed his 'righteous' soul.
Now I can understand. I live in Sodom now. I am not just speaking of homosexuality. I live in a country who has for all intents and purposed turned her back on God and is not even remotely a Christian nation. Everyone has right here it seems except Christians. And I can only see this getting worse, since I see many who claim to be saved pushing the agendas completely opposite to the Word of God.
It vexes my soul. I grieve for America.
And yet, I still love her. I still want her saved. I still want God's blessings upon her. I still want to be a light of the Gospel in this heathen nation.
I need to apologize to Lot. He probably felt just like me.
God save America-
Land that I love,
Start with me, Lord
To be, Lord
One
whose life proves that God lives above,
Bring salvation to our nation,
That each one will hear and heed,
God save America, we humbly plead,
God
save America, we humbly plead.

No Mistake. No Respect. No Remedy.
I'm sorry, Mr. Jenner. You are wrong and you are wicked to say you are a woman. I am speaking from the BIBLE'S point of view, so if you reject God's Word, you might want to stop reading.
Romans 9:20 ....
I am so tired of America joining in to cheer on wickedness. The Bible is clear, and the judgment of God is not long from coming.
Romans 9:20 ....
Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?
God doesn't make mistakes. God didn't OOPS when He made you. You OOPSed when you sinned and chose to wickedly shake your fist in God's face and tell Him He should have made you differently.
I am so tired of America joining in to cheer on wickedness. The Bible is clear, and the judgment of God is not long from coming.
Wake up, Christians.
2 Chronicles 36 tells us the end of this:
15 And the Lord God of their fathers sent to them by his messengers, rising up betimes, and sending; because he had compassion on his people, and on his dwelling place:
16 But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the Lord arose against his people, till there was no remedy.
I am very worried that we are at the point of no remedy.

The Story Behind "Blessed Assurance"
One day, Phoebe Knapp was visiting with her dear friend, Fanny Crosby. She play a simple melody for her and asked her what she thought. Fanny replied, "Blessed Assurance, Jesus is Mine".
Despite being blind, Fanny had a spiritual insight that is to be strived for. She has blessed many of us with her hymn and poem writing.
Blessed Assurance has been my favorite song since I was a small child. here is a beautiful version of it I want to share with you.

What is a Cult?
My pastor preached a sermon last night entitled What is a Cult? I am sharing the notes with you, I thought it was excellent.
1. A cult normally has communal living
2. A cult seeks to weaken or destroy family ties
3. A cult is usually well-armed
4. The cult leader owns the property
5. You must adhere to tenets and dogmas to be a member.
6. A cult tends to dwell on prophecy
7. Cults tell their followers what to do and they are obeyed.
8. A cult claims that salvation is found only in their group
9. Cult leaders always claim 'divine revelation' outside the Word of God
Churches that have these characteristics are dangerous. I thought he presented a well thought out sermon and I just wanted to share it.

A Memorial Day Tribute
It was 1974, and I was 10 years old. There were two elderly gentlemen in our church, Mr. Green and Mr. Green. They were both old. They were brothers. They were both blind. They were both scary. (to a 10 year old).
One day, one of the Mr. Greens died. I felt sorry for the other one, and overcame my fear and hugged Mr. Malcolm. He asked my name. He never forgot it. One Sunday, he asked my dad if he could take us for lunch. I remember it well, I had spaghetti. After dinner, when the waitress brought the check, I was fascinated. Mr. Green pulled EXACTLY the right amount out of his wallet. I asked him how he knew. He showed me the Braille tabs on the money.
(This story does have a point, bear with me)
Mr. Malcolm lived near me, so one day I got brave and went and visited him. He lived alone, in a very small house. He invited me in, and the first thing I noticed was the HUGE book on his table. I asked him what it was. It was the Book of Matthew. “YOU CAN READ THE BIBLE???” He took me by the hand and placed my hand on his Bible. It was all bumpy. Every bump is a letter, he told me. He showed me his shelf. He had the whole Bible, each book a HUGE book on his self.
Time passed, and I loved visiting Mr. Green. He would chop his own wood for his wood stove, which was his heat and cooktop. He showed me his garden. He showed me how he lived, and took care of himself though blind.
One day, I got really brave and asked him if he was always blind. He got really quiet, and took me outside to his shed. He pulled out an old, moth-eaten uniform. It was from World War 1 he told me. He served over there. He *and* his brother were blinded by mustard gas. He cut the buttons off his old uniform and handed them to me. Even as a young girl, I understood his sacrifice. I never forgot. I still have the buttons.
Not many people remember Mr. Green anymore, but I just had to do something to keep his memory alive. I can never forget.
Thank you, Mr. Green. God bless America.
