Choking Hazards...

Remember all the great toys we had as kids?  Jacks?  Marbles?  Well, now they are deemed DANGEROUS...they are *choking hazards*.  The baby might put it into his mouth and CHOKE.  Well, bless the his heart, babies have been putting things into their mouths for 6000 years.  Mamas USED to watch out for this and rescue the baby before he choked or at least teach the baby the word NO and he would obey.  Now we are too busy.  Too busy with out favorite TV show or our facebook farms to teach and train our kids.

And what about the older kids?  They love Legos...ah ah ah...*choking hazard*.  GI Joe?  Small parts, *choking hazard*.  Barbie dolls?  Ah ah ah, the baby might choke on a high heel shoe.  OR, we might take the time to teach our children to pick up after themselves and if they fail, they lose the toy until THEY can be trusted!  Don't blame the baby!

What about we adults?  Don't expect me to listen to preaching on loving my enemy, it is a *choking hazard*.  Don't expect me to read the Bible, I might choke on it.  Don't ask me to listen to godly music, it might make me choke.

It is time to accept personal responsibility for our own actions instead of passing it off as a *choking hazard*.

What Do I Miss?

This morning, while I was sitting at my computer, God told me to go outside.  I told Him it is cold outside.  He said go anyway.  So I did.  I listened this time.  And, God had painted the most beautiful picture for me.  He wanted *me* to see it!  He wanted to show off His beautiful creation!

What have I missed?  What did He want to show and tell me the times I have not listened, or ignored Him?  Thankful for this reminder today....He wants to be a REAL part of my life..even the day to day trivialities.
